Friends Booksale
The Friends of the Brookline Library Booksale has over 2000 books on its shelves, maintained by volunteers, and it funds special programs at the Brookline libraries. Located in the main library at 361 Washington St., it is open during library hours, but the selection is best on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when volunteers are on hand to restock the shelves and to help find specific titles. Donations are also always welcome, especially on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Used Books Resource
By Jon Allen
I have been getting many books at the Brookline Library Annual Booksales for years, and I have finally reached the ideal relationship with this wonderful operation:
I volunteer.
This gives me many advantages:
A] I get a first look at new additions to the booksale supply,
B] I get a volunteer discount on the books I buy from the sale, and
C] I bring books I no longer want to keep back, keeping the booksale well stocked, and maximizing the funds provided for special programs at the libraries in Brookline.
