New LTK at the Seaport - Disappointing at Best
By
I had read an article on the upcoming Legal Seafoods new restaraunt called the LTK in South Boston and could not wait to go. Since I am a techie, I was anxious to see the highly touted "tech restaurant."
Put aside the fact that the service and food was absolutely horendous (that can happen at any restaurant), the so-called techie aspect was joke.
What sense is it to have an ipod base at your table (of course it really isn't at every table - they only have a set amount so you have to ask for one) when the guy next to you is blaring his music so you can't hear yours. I wish I could tell you how the touch screens were that supposedly allowed you to surf the web or place your order, but they were all down and had an error message for all patrons to see.
On top of all that, the basic systems that assit a restaurant to operate more efficiently did not work. Our orders were late due to the fact that the point of sale system was down so they had to write all orders down and bring them to the kitchen and bar.
I can accept some issues with a new restaurant opening, but don't sell yourself as a technology friendly restaurant when you obviously did not take the time to work out the kinks.
