i don't know who that is saying "bad, bad" but this is the best freaking restaurant in the boston area, and just happens to be my favourite restaurant, so when i saw this, of course i needed to sign up for this site and say, ARE YOU CRAHXXZEEEE????? (very woody allen style) ??!! How could anyone say that? Craigie Street has the charm and grace so many pompous gluttonous fools don't know how to perserve. Craigie Street is a neighborhood bistro first and foremost, it is intimate, it has unbelievably gracious and informative staff-- tony maw's (chefs') own mother checks your coat, the food is DIVINE, somewhat traditional french cuisine, with a personal flavor from chef & a plethora of fresh, daily ingredients--- humble decor, woodwork---- what the hell more could you ask for???? GO there. EAT the food, if you are american through and through then yes, you probably won't care for it b/c it isn't like an american restaurant. it is modelled after the french bistro, and it has been nurtured and cared for by it's patrons and staff-- god damn it, this is what is wrong with this god damned country. i completely understand now. if you want george bush steak, don't go here. if you want class, elegance, a truly delicious well made dinner, an impeccable & gracious waiter, a perfect wine...then please GO. *sigh*
