Dinner
By Debbie

I had the unfortunate opportunity to go to Venezia Restaurant in Dorchester.

I ordered a Caesar salad and Chicken Piccata. I was truely dissapointed.

The salad had soggy lettuce and 3 croutons which seemed stale.
The chicken Piccata was okay. The sauce did not have much flavor other than the capers.
The side dish of cool oven roasted potatoes and over cooked spinach was enough for me to say out of a score of 1 to 10 a 3 at best. Good bread, big deal I can go to Bertuccis for a better Italian dinner with good bread too.

My party of 9 had reservations and were rushed from the time we sat down until the time we were asked to take our tea and coffee to the bar?? Funny thing is why would they suggest a 14 year old girl and a 75 year old grandmother to take there family to the bar??? I did speak to the manager/owner Perry and he explained that it is his fault that he asked the waiter to tell us to take it to the bar as it was a business decision for him. I explained that it was in poor taste to ask people who were not drinking to take it to the bar and for the waiter to suggest a 14 year old to go to the bar clearly demonstrates poor business decisions. Maybe I should have an under cover/under age person go to the bar and order?? All in all it was a big dissapointment to our day.
