Paul Revere's Ride
Book: He started his "midnight ride" closer to 10 p.m., he never made it to Concord and he didn't yell "the British are coming!" (since back then, the colonists still considered themselves British). David Hackett Fischer, a history professor at Brandeis University, tells the real story of Revere's ride.

Paul Revere's Ride
By Ian Hackett
This is a brilliant telling of the story and his many rides. The one to Fort William and Mary that preceded the ride to Lexington by several months was a revelation and probably more significant. No shots to be heard around the world, but the capture of the fort and its munitions surely made a major contribution to the acchievement of US independence, and to achieving it with minimal violence in New Hampshire. Great read.
