BOSTON TEA PARTY
By Richard
From the account of George Hewes we can see that all artistic renderings of the event, even from the same decade, are false. Not only were several ships involved as seems reasonable enough, but the incident occured under cover of the dark of an early winter night so as to be less conspicious. This is also probably why the "Indians" wore coalblack on their faces to blend in with the night and not be seen, let alone recognized! Therefore even no eyewitness could have accurately depicted half of what was actually happening. This goes to prove sometimes a thousand words are worth one picture.
