Volunteers Needed For American Cancer Society Bicycles Battling Cancer On Sunday, June 12, local volunteers are needed to help set up, direct flow of riders, collect and tag rider gear, man water stops, and cheer on riders from Worcester to Boston, along the route of the 3rd annual American Cancer Society Bicycles Battling Cancer event. The ride takes beginner and veteran cyclists alike through scenic back roads from Worcester to Boston. The event allows participants the opportunity to get fit, have fun, and make a difference, all while reducing their cancer risk. Riders can participate individually or as a team with a variety of ride options including, the century ride, metric Centry ride, and 30-mile ride. Funds raised through Bicycles Battling Cancer support the Society’s critical mission to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer.
