I worked in Downtown Boston for years and always remember it being on weekdays and as expected I made a pig out of myself .Otherwise I would have missed it ,because I rarely ewent into Boston on weekends..

Fred makes a good point...it should be a 2-day event on a Fri and Sat, so that folks who only are in town on weekdays can go, as well as folks who can only go into town on weekends.

On a related note, why the heck do they hold the Chowderfest in hot weather?

I've never gone to the Chowder Fest for that very reason.Wouldn't March or April be more apprpriate?
