George Peppard would only allow Vincent J.R. Kehoe do his Makeup.Kehoe is a Chelmsford resident who is well known in Re-enactor circles as Lt.Col. Vincent J.R. Kehoe of the 10th Royal Lancashire Regt of Foot.He is a well respected historian and author of several books on the American revolutoion.

George Peppard scooting around town in that roadster is cool. But man, how fake - I mean, seriously: Trees in front of City Hall?

The trees appear to be real:

I honestly don't remember them one way or the other.

What I find fake, I think, is that the Plywood Tower appears to be blurred out at the top. Maybe it is a shadow from a cloud.

Oh, I have no doubts the trees are real - I remember vegetation in that dumb sunken whatever-it-is.

Only fake thing: George "rowing" on the Charles.

They say the Faye Dunaway - Steve McQueen kiss was the longest in film history. Lucky bastard he was.

His house on Beacon Hill was supposed to have been filmed at 85 Mt Vernon, I'm not sure but I think I worked there (if not that house one of the ones in the complex) for a couple of days. Nobody mentioned the film but the painters told me back in 1967 it cost $27,000 to paint the interior (maybe for the film?). The house was kinda run down inside.

You wouldn't believe who lived there back then.

The rumor was ....that Faye Dunaway met peter Wolf .
when she was in Boston to make the movie.
She lived on beacon hill for a few years.
She was for a time ...our most famous movie star ...living in Boston.

Pfft.

I remember Gary Merrill standing in Coolidge Corner holding a campaign sign for his son, running for Brookline selectmen (for that matter, I remember Gary Merrill just standing in Coolidge Corner with not much else to do). He was, for a time, our most famous actor, living in Brookline.
